Save Mortimer Terrace Nature Reserve!
Update April 29 Thanks to all of you who contributed to save Mortimer Terrace Nature Reserve by supporting us and donating to our crowdfunder to help us pay for maintenance and buy the site from the owners.
After a successful campaign (yet again) to stop the sale of this much loved asset of community value, the nature reserve failed to reach its reserve price at auction on October 14. On April 29th Camden Council successfully completed with the owner to purchase the site and will now be handing it back to the community so the site will be protected in perpetuity.
Rebuilding London’s economy together: the case for more co-operation
Camden Community Makers (Coops for London) were pleased to contribute their expertise on co-operative housing to this report published by Seema Malhotra MP which looks at how we can rebuild London’s economy to be fairer, more resilient and more sustainable. Seema reports:
“The report calls for a Co-operative Commission for London so that London based co-operatives can be helped to grow and flourish. This would complement the Economic Development Strategy for London set out by Mayor Sadiq Khan to create a more inclusive city which works for all Londoners.”
